Log Yard Auditor
Log Yard AuditorWe seek a highly skilled and experienced Log Yard Auditor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry and agriculture, with experience in grading and auditing logs.
This outdoor position requires a fair amount of travel and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
Compensation:
$45,000-$55,000 to start, based on experience and bonusesResponsibilities of the Log Auditor:
Inspect and grade logs for quality and compliance with industry standards Ensure accurate measurement and documentation of log inventory Identify and report any issues or concerns with log quality or inventory Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective log yard operations Maintain a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned Requirements of the Log Auditor:
Bachelor's degree in forestry, agriculture, or related field a plus Proven experience as a Log Auditor or similar role Strong knowledge of log grading and industry standards Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions The log auditing position for Independent Stave Company is an excellent role for candidates to start and be developed for future opportunities as log buyers or other operation and production roles.
